Maturity and Intelligence doesn't always correspond with Age

One thing I've learnt from spending 2 birthdays in Malaysia with friends. I never get proper cakes. LOL. It aint a bad thing. In fact, its actually pretty awesome. Last year I got a 'chocolate apple' in Anu's house....

This year, I got this... which in my opinion is way cooler than a cake

And it's weird how from past experience, you expect yr friends to throw a surprise for you on your birthday, but because you specifically didn't want anything, it kinda overrides the surprise you were expecting. (i tink im confusing myself). In short, I got surprised. Buncha Oscar winning actors. Touched to the max. Thank you (yet again) Lala...

And Honey V! Can't believe I fell for u and pikwen's blurness after class. Heh.

It was the highlight of a rather nondescript week. I actually didnt study for FOUR days. FOUR!
I think i just set a new record for myself. And I reached another milestone. With Honey V. lol. But the best was yet to come......

Having a pretty close pal in MUFY call you from Aussie to wish you is damn bloody awesome. Super touching gesture. Really appreciate the phone call son. lol. Especially when it was super ex and he still talked for 10mins. Awesome!

You get older everyday, but not necessarily wiser. A wise monkey once asked me "why do you get attached to people? You should learn not to give a damn." And I thought to myself, "i know. ive been trying. Ive had it with givin my all to ppl who doesnt actually give a shit about you"
.

Another friend said: "Learn to ask only tutors/lecturers for help in tutes or assgmts. Try to rely on friends the least. At least in future when you find yourself alone, you won't be completely hopeless and halpless." And I thought "neat." I think my first assgmt this sem I managed it (altho as usual Honey V provided her efforts and inputs)

What are the benefits of a single set of standards? Well, for starters, if there was only one standard, then Katy Perry wouldn't have had to cover herself fully for MTV World Stage, and Beyonce wouldn't have cancelled her shows here all the time. So I say its time Malaysia adopted a bloody international dresscode standard.

Some say Ive changed. For the better. Others say for the worse. I know I have. How you perceive it is obviously up to you. But there's no longer a point in explaining myself. Cos it's tiring. Guess, finally, I'm learning to let go. Whether its the right decision remains to be seen. Cos maturity and intelligence doesn't always correspond with age.
