*The Angelic & Demonic Code

The holidays had arrived and it was time for all play and no work, allowing the mind some much needed and well-deserved rest. After a strenuous few weeks of overcoming tests, the body and mind could now focus and channel their energies into triffling and unproductive activities that had been barred due to the presence of internal assessments. This perhaps led to Nick Ivans, Diane Shine, Sue Anne and Hans Basil hitting the city on a weekday where tests were strewn ahead of them. Holidays had not started, not to mention the Finals, but by the quartet's impressive trip to town, it seemed that it had.

Hans Basil put aside his fight with John Bow as he, together with Diane, Nick and "It" girl Sue attended the exclusive premier of "Angels & Demons" before its official release date. With Sue's status breaching the pinnacle, added with the presence of former queen Diane in the fray, it seemed like the quartet were the stars of the evening, with the spotlight shining on the queen and her predecessor. The ladies might have gotten accustomed to receiving special treatment, but for the guys, it was perhaps the first, as photographers littered the cineplex and flashbulbs went off simultaneously at a dizzying rate. There was no replication of treatment prior to the entry though, as each and every individual was subjected to similar security checks. Once the wheels were set in motion, it was ready, set, go as the moment they had waited for arrived. Sue had other ideas though as, in true diva fashion, she allowed herself to catch a wink or two during the premier, and not being affected by it. She probably was right, since it was free anyway. What turned out as a fun and glamorous event took a turn for the worse upon returning to Sunway.

Hans' nightly routine saw him send Nick back to Palmville before heading back, and even after curfew he was never caught. This probably lulled the quartet into a false sense of security that returning back after curfew was alright. Unfortunately, it was not, as the guard stopped and questioned them. Nick played the fool, was not convincing but it was effective as they were allowed in albeit with a warning. That was just the tip of a very dark and ugly ice-berg.
Sue Anne might be garnering accolades and attention as the curent queen, but when it comes to security, she is just another student. She recieved no special treatment from an obnoxiously annoying guard, and an increasingly irritated Hans let fly a stunning verbal volley of rage in a language rarely spoken, a spectacle never witnessed as his friends stood around, shocked. While his outburst did little to cure the problem, it striked off one possible outcome, directing them back to Hans' and Diane's hostel. In the end, Nick walked back alone, Hans trudged off to his room and Sue headed to Diane's room, where they shared a rare heart-to-heart conversation.

Like an overplayed scene in a chick flick, Hans and John managed to curb their fighting and make up for the millionth time just before their Math test. And like magic, it was as though the fight did not take place as they resumed their rosy ways after the test. It was impossible to tell if either hid any secret dissension, but one feeling that was obvious for the world to see was that of triumph from John. Having beaten Hans in Econs yet again was proof that his moving out was starting to be subtantiated. But the euphoric feeling that he got came from a completely different source. John had eyed a girl for a few days now, and never had the opportunity to take any relevant action. Until now. John belied his taciturn nature when he summed up all his courage and confidently strode to the girl and started conversing. His action was a double-edged sword, but thankfully for him, it paid off and he reaped the handsome rewards. First ever meeting and already it could put some "seasoned players" to shame. It seems this unexpected turn of events rendered the shocking secret Hans discovered pertinent to John worthless.

Angie Flo and Sue Anne continued where John left off in their pursuit for their man candies. Non-college activities seem to stick to Sue now that she was on her throne, and after the heady movie premier few nights back, she and Angie made a trip to Javis James' house yet again for another round of the 'Fantasy Weekend'. With the humongous Econs trials looming in a few days, it seems the ladies had other priorities in order.
Unlike his female counterparts and good buddy John, Hans faced a miserable time as his target was perhaps a bridge too far, as he failed in his first actual attempt at trying to get the girl- Sabby Jill. He was not rejected, but he was not even known to exist to be rejected. Word had it Sabby had fallen head over heels for Sunway King Lukas, and they were spotted canoodling during lunch, and remained inseparable ever since. Poor Hans could never seem to catch a break, with his 3 weeks of optimism and cheerful nature all for naught.

Frantic, hectic days of poring over Economic notes and manuals culminated in a marginal waste of energy as the Econs trials caught many by surprise. Sue, Angie and Sanya were left stumped, John made up his own answers while Hans had the greatest luck when his mishit mobile button- instead of switching it off he turned off the silent mode- remained obediently silent, where any call or message recieved would have seen his phone confiscated.
The remains of the weekend are in store as Finals begin in a very short 6 days. Perhaps this was in the mind of Sunway individuals, as John paid a visit to his sister, Angie and Sue continued bonding with the 3 J's over dinner and Hans made a shocking exit from Sunway back to his hometown, with rumours circulating about his apparent anger and dismay at the current situation in and around Sunway. With just a few weeks left on the agenda, Hans would not need to worry about such matters as the end of MUFY would put a stop to all the drama that had been occuring an breathe new life into all these beaten and weary souls.
