*The All-Sitiawan Rejects

The eruption had materialised full throttle. Especially within the All-Sitiawan Rejects, those not part of the Hometowners. The peace and serenity had crumbled, as the lack of a common ground had failed to pull the outsiders together, the initial unity now torn to shreds like a tornado ripping through a stilt house.

Disagreements became louder, attitudes started stinking and the atmosphere matched Antartica to perfection. If the emotional cracks weren't visible, the physical ones were all too clear to see. Hans Basil was placed in the uncomfortable postion of having to make a choice between two different minds, and ultimately stood his ground as he failed in trying to please both sides. It ended with Nick Ivans eating lunch alone while Hans, Angie Flo, Sue Anne, Theo Oscar, Mitch and Alicia trooped together for theirs. Nick was not the only one ostracized from the All-Sitiawan Rejects though- there were deeper rumbles within the entire faction. Sue, Theo, Diane Shine and Thomas had escaped to Sunway Pyramid without informing Nick and Hans, leaving the latter extremely bewildered. If this is a glimpse of the future, then indeed it does not look rosy. At least for the outsiders. For the Hometowners, their pact remains solid.

Sanya Dival realized that her hasty actions and outbursts were perhaps uncalled for, as her days of absence from the social scene ended with her apologizing to Hans while drooling over a very formal and smart looking Mango Mophead. Despite the uncertainty of his status, Sanya continued living in her fantasy world. But it all stopped abruptly when she accidentally hit a nerve with Hans, possibly discovering a very shocking secret he had desperately been trying to keep.
Sanya was not the only girl falling head over heels for a guy. Sue Anne and Angie Flo continued the crush wave, although only one made progress, while the other recieved a massive blow.
The MUFY Games were in a few days, and a very promising match up was made in the Badminton Men's Doubles- John Bow and Dan Wise against Javis James and Leo Jon; the past crushes against the current ones. And it was this fact that made a mess out of the fumbling duo.
Sue and Angie were having one of their many girl talks about their respective crushes when a group of guys approached them from behind, eager to view the badminton schedules. The ladies ignored them and continued gushing about their boys. If only they had bothered to look, for it would have spared them the resulting embarrassment and agony, seeing that it was their crushes who were behind them, probably listening to their girly and amusing chatter. Fortunately, their hopes weren't crushed. Yet.

A week after Oral Presentation had started, and Diane Shine, Hans Basil and Angie Flo still had not done theirs. Diane was up first, and managed to overcome her initial fear as she grew in confidence throughout the presentation. Angie and Hans did each other no favours as they continued piling the nerves amidst practising. When their turns arrived, they looked smart, but only Angie's presentation matched her appearance, as Hans' nerves clearly showed. Their luck swapped in the Q & A segment however, as Hans breezed through whatever was thrown at him, and Angie got shot down by her lecturer. At least it was over. But not for Sue, as her battle with the Pratibitch resumed. Students coming in late had never ruffled Pat Riba's feathers, until recently. Sue had tested Pat's patience on a couple of occasions, but did not get caught. Until one day. The Pratibitch's sarcastic blast was as black as her skin, and Sue countered it with nonchalance plastered on her face, irking the former even more, who stopped after realizing she was not making headway. For Sue, it was to be the start of a bad day.

John Bow and Dan Wise were eager to make their mark in the MUFY Games, and started practising almost nightly prior to the games. Luck was on their side as the workload for the week was little, all upcoming major tests still a long way to go. However, if practice was any indication, then their run in the Games looks short, as their practice sessions ended in losses, John citing a lack of communication and form. Academically, he also seemed to be on a bad run, getting his worst ever marks on a recent Econs test, similar to Sue, while Hans continued surprising himself with maintaining his. With his future plans still in doubt, John needs to pull several rabbits out of his hat to stop the rot, in both badminton and academics.

The MUFY Games had arrived, and the college grounds were littered with many students participating in the several events open. Joy was plastered on those not taking part, as it was a rare "holiday". Hans, Angie, Nick and Sue decided to make an appearance to support their friends. For Sue and Angie, it was unclear if they were rooting for Dan and John or Javis and Leo. The much aniticipated match ended up in a one-sided triumph, with John and Dan making a mockery of the girls' crushes despite not hitting top form. They managed to get past their next opponents in the quarter-finals despite clearly not getting into top gear, which was a worry for John as he feared more skillful players would punish them. And he was right, as he and Dan were sent packing in the Semis by the eventual winners. Their progress was not unnoticed though, as Nick, Sue, Angie and Hans 'cheered' for them from the stands, with the girls sneaking glances at their crushes whenever they could. And for Angie, her day got better.

Nick again followed the Hometowners for lunch, while the rest, including Theo, decided to hit Sunway Pyramid for a movie, in which Nick decided to follow. On the way, Hans spotted poor Javis dragging his feet under the blazing sun, and a delighted Angie made the bold decision to invite him for a movie. Delight turned to euphoria as he accepted, culminating in crazy shrieks from Angie. For Sue, she was glad enough to share her friend's joy, as Leo refused to join in. On top of that, he was spotted with another girl, who looked like his girlfriend. 2nd guy, 2nd failure for Sue. For Angie, her after-movie walk and staircase chat with Javis put things in a very promising position for the pair.

The All-Sitiawan Rejects look to be rejects of their own, with Diane Shine, Nick Ivans and Hans Basil seemingly departing into their own worlds. Diane's constant absence, coupled with meals with Cheeze Kenzo, sent a clear message. Nick's continuous rejection to join the Outsiders for lunch was a not-so-subtle indication that he was on his way out. As for Hans, he had brought "emo" to a whole new level, as his actions and behaviour-his slow and silent departure from the Outsiders- the past week had stumped everyone. Those who tried to pry for answers from him were met with silent resilience, as even his once-confidante John Bow was unable to seek out the problem. While Hans' future now looks in major doubt, the future of the All-Sitiawan Rejects also looks to be in turmoil, with the cracks growing bigger by the day. As for the Hometowners, their future together continue to shine brightly, seemingly without a worry in the world.
