*The Ladies (And Gents) Night

In the beginning, there was darkness. Darkness roamed Earth, its vast blackness swarming the universe. But then God created light, and saw that it was good. The light destroyed and subsequently ruled the darkness- even at night, where darkness is at its most potent, there is still light in the form of the moon. Similarly, Sunway had been enveloped with so much darkness that one wondered if there would ever be light again. Not surprisingly, the light did return, but only when the darkness, in the shape of Emo Boy Hans Basil, was asbent from Sunway.

Not for the first time, Hans Basil was not in Sunway when he was supposed to. And he certainly missed alot of extravagance and shocking occurences. The day he departed was the day Diane Shine and Angie Flo received birthday surprises from a small part of their clique of friends. A little misunderstanding threatened to derail the surprise, but thankfully, it was saved. Theo Oscar, step sister Sue Anne and Angie's friend Joe were the main progenitors of the party, but surprising two friends in one day was tough, and it ended in Sue and Joe being surprised themselves as they were not aware of the surprise that Theo and Diane had planned for Angie. All in all, the evening panned out well, but minor details need to be sorted before they implode. With cracks long surfacing, chances are they will. And with rumours rife that the attached individuals- Diane and Theo- are not just "flirting harmlessly", there seems to be more than meets the eye with these two. Things definitely look explosive.

And explosive, things became, as the evening outing dragged into the night and became more interesting. Diane and Theo did little to quell rumours as they ice skated in Sunway Pyramid, while gentleman Joe sent best friend Angie home. Being a good friend herself, she took Sue's well-being into prudent consideration, asking Joe to take her to dinner. And that he did, as the pair- who had only met that very day- enjoyed a tasteful dinner which marked the beginning of a new friendship, one that saw the new friends spend the time enjoying each others company till the wee hours of the morning. A start of something other than just friendship? If so, what happens with Eugene, Nick's friend who has his heart set on Sue? What about Leo Jon, Sunway's Resident Hunk Dan Wise or even Long-Haired Hottie, who Sue had her eyes on? Looks like Good Girl Gone Terrible just evolved from High Heels Low IQ to Little Miss Confused.

What boys do girls can do better. True. In this case, what girls do, the guys can match, maybe even better. With the exception of poor Hans Basil, the guys enjoyed a Guy Night Out that could give the archetypal Boho a run for its alcohol. Hometowners John Bow, Dan Wise, reclusive hermit Jac Bizkit, Ean and Drew, along with Nick Ivans, stretched their usual Friday night routine. As always, a trip to AC for pool was on the cards, and the fun did not stop there as they trooped back near the environs of college to test their online game mettle against each other. Into the ungodly hours, but yet they continued their venture, driving round the darkness to check out unopened malls. With word fast disseminating about haunted buildings in and around Sunway, perhaps they ought to be careful and watch their backs. Hopefully they don't see things they don't want to see.

Boys 1-1 Girls. Day 2. And the ladies, driven mainly by Sue, continued the fight for late night dominance, and this time, it got more whacky and outrageous. It looks like she and Joe were becoming fast friends. The two, along with some of Joe's friends, had a mini drinking session which naturally dragged into the night. And as usual, the fun never stops after the drinks, but on the contrary, the drinks are the catalyst for the fun. The troupe headed to Joe's house for a movie marathon where, horror of horrors, Sue decided to spend the night. What went on behind those closed doors would never be known. With Sue's life taking a sudden turn for the better, she seems to be hot on the heels of Diane Shine at the pinnacle of Sunway University College.

Day 2, and Guys Night Out became Guys Night In, and instead of matching Ladies Night 2.0, theirs turned a notch or two down, with no shocks or twists. Sports had always been considered a 'guy' thing, a man's game, and it was football that the 6 guys bonded over for an astonishing 5-6 hours. Watching football had never been more fun, even so when several of them were not even fans of the sport. Nick lost a bet to John, but it was all in the name of fun. With one more day to recuperate after successive overexertions, lethargy was a word that did not exist in their vocabulary that night.

Alas, all good things must come to an end, and it could not have been more unfortunately symbolised with the return of Hans Basil-synonymous with darkness due to his emo nature- to Sunway. His absence signified a wealth of fun, and his return coincided with shocking news that rocked Nick's Sunday morning- the untimely death of a hometown friend. Nick handled the catastrophic news relatively well, and met up with Hans later in the evening for dinner, with Hans yet again going against his doctor's orders. The pair later met John in the college foyer at night to prepare for an upcoming Math assessment, where John revealed some disturbing fact he had discovered. And it seems that now, the eruption of the volcano was not a closed fact any more, as new eyes were opened.

As compared with the previous killer of a test, this Math test was conquered with relative ease, but that was the only common thing that most of Sunway's students had for the day. Sue's boy drama continued after she ranted about a certain Hometowner's voice being extremely sexy, leaving Hans bewildered, as that Hometowner was not Dan. Hans' knack for getting close to random people online continued, as his late night chats with Sanya's ex seem to have bonded the once combustible duo together. His late night flirting with his first ex seemed to be incongruent with his attitude as well, but it was one massive shocking news from home that completely destroyed his optimistic nature which he had obtained and maintained for two weeks, causing him to depart from Sunway yet again as he battles a potentially fatal deja vu.
